Released for use in the treatment of type 2 diabetes
in 1997, Parke-Davis/Warner Lambert agreed to remove Rezulin from
the U.S. market in March 2000. Researchers found that severe liver
toxicity occurred more often in patients using Rezulin than in
those using other drugs also available.
