New York City lawyers dealt with the surprising case of a high school basketball player who suffered an accident while playing his favorite sport and got his middle finger tip amputated.
Dean Robinson was playing in a pick-up basketball game in his Bronx high school when the 14 year-old made a clap lay-up (a move in which one releases the ball towards the basket and simultaneously claps or slaps the backboard with his shooting hand). Little did he know that was going to be his last attempt.
